Comparison review
Galaxy Note7 has a general score of 79.5, which is a little bit better than Xperia XZ2's overall score of 79.1. The Galaxy Note7 is an older cellphone than the Xperia XZ2, but Samsung was able to make it lighter and noticeably thinner. The Sony Xperia XZ2 features a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Note7, although it has a quite inferior count of pixels per display inch and a way worse resolution of 1080 x 2160px, they both have a screen of the same size.
Xperia XZ2 has just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Note7, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Xperia XZ2 also has a larger number of faster cores. Sony Xperia XZ2 takes better photos and videos than Galaxy Note7, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for taking images or videos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also counts with a way more mega-pixels back-facing camera, better video frame rate and a bigger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The Xperia XZ2 has a little bit more memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note7, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia XZ2 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 400 GB. Samsung Galaxy Note7 has just a little better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity against 3180mAh.
