Xperia XZ2 is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, with a 79.1 score against 78.1. Even being the best in this review, the Xperia XZ2 construction is incredibly older, somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker than the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5. Sony Xperia XZ2 features a brighter display than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a little bit bigger screen, a higher display pixels density and a much higher 1080 x 2160 resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 counts with more memory to store more apps and games than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 1 TB. The Xperia XZ2 features a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5. Both have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 4 GB RAM.
The Xperia XZ2 features a much better camera than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a tinier aperture, it also counts with a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a higher 19 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back. Sony Xperia XZ2 features a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a 6 percent larger battery capacity.
