Xperia XZ2 has a global score of 79.1, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's 77.7 general score. Although it's the best cellphone in our current comparison, the Xperia XZ2 is a thicker and somewhat heavier cellphone than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. The Xperia XZ2 features a little faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores.
Xperia XZ2 has a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a bit lower 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit higher screen density. The Sony Xperia XZ2 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for shooting images or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor providing a higher image quality, a much more mega-pixels back-facing camera and higher video frame rates.
The Xperia XZ2 counts with a better memory for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 400 GB. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has a bit longer battery life than Xperia XZ2, because it has a 3350mAh battery size.
