Comparison review
Xperia XZ3 is a bit better than Google Pixel 3a XL, getting a 79.6 score against 78.9. These phones have Android operating system, but the Xperia XZ3 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Google Pixel 3a XL has Android 11 version, offering some nice extra features. Even being the best phone in our current comparison, it must be noted that it is also heavier and somewhat thicker.
Xperia XZ3 counts with a bit faster processor than Google Pixel 3a XL. Both of them have the same RAM memory amount and 8 cpu cores. Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a more vivid screen than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has a better display density and a better 1440 x 2880px resolution.
Sony Xperia XZ3 has just a bit better camera than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for shooting images and/or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also counts with a camera with way more mega pixels and a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing higher quality photos.
Xperia XZ3 counts with a way bigger memory to install games and applications than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Xperia XZ3 also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Google Pixel 3a XL has a bit longer battery performance than Xperia XZ3, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity instead of 3330mAh.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Pixel 3a XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Pixel 3a XL. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Google Pixel 3a XL, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
