Comparison review
The Xperia XZ3 is just a bit better than the Huawei Mate 20 lite, having a 79.6 score against 76.2. Both phones in this review use Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia XZ3 has newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei Mate 20 lite has Android 8.1 Oreo, providing you some nice extra features. Although it's the best cellphone we compare here, we must highlight that it is also a heavier and much thicker cellphone.
The Xperia XZ3 features a little faster processor than Huawei Mate 20 lite. They have 8 processing cores and 4 GB of RAM memory. The Xperia XZ3 features a more vivid display than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2880 resolution and more pixels per inch of screen.
Xperia XZ3 and Huawei Mate 20 lite count with similar storage capacity to install applications and games, they have exactly the same internal memory capacity and an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Huawei Mate 20 lite counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has a 13% greater battery size.
Xperia XZ3 takes clearer photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for taking pictures and/or video in low light situations and a worse 19 MP resolution camera, it also counts with a way better (4K) video definition.
