Comparison review
The Xperia XZ3 is slightly better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, getting a overall score of 79.6 against 78.7. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia XZ3 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo. Xperia XZ3's body is newer, but somewhat heavier and a lot thicker than Huawei Mate 9 Pro.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with just a bit better looking display than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a little more pixels per inch in the display, a little bit bigger screen and a slightly higher resolution of 1440 x 2880px. Sony Xperia XZ3 features a better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a little faster processor than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Huawei Mate 9 Pro has longer battery performance than Xperia XZ3, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity against 3330mAh. The Xperia XZ3 has a little bit better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia XZ3 also has a camera with a lot higher 19 mega pixels resolution, a lot larger camera sensor and a larger diafragm aperture.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei Mate 9 Pro. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia XZ3, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, giving up a couple features and specs.
