Comparison review
The Motorola edge has a global score of 89.6, which is much better than the Sony Xperia XZ3's global score of 79.6. These devices use Android operating system, but Motorola edge has 10 version while Sony Xperia XZ3 has Android 9.0 Pie version. Motorola edge is a newer phone, and it's also just a little lighter and just a bit thinner than Sony Xperia XZ3.
Xperia XZ3 has a better looking display than Motorola edge, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2880px and a greater number of pixels per inch of screen. The Motorola edge has a much bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 1000 GB and 256 GB internal storage capacity.
The Xperia XZ3 features a little bit better processing power than Motorola edge, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 cores. Motorola edge takes better photos and videos than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Motorola edge also has a back-facing camera with way more mega-pixels, a bigger aperture and a lot larger back-facing camera sensor shooting much higher quality videos and photographs.
The Motorola edge has improved battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Even being the best phone of the ones we compare here, the Motorola edge is also by far the cheapest one.
