Xperia XZ3 counts with a little sharper display than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has a little smaller display and much worse brightness, it also counts with a greater pixel density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels. The Xperia XZ3 counts with a way better processing power than Motorola Edge 40, although it has 4 GB less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
Xperia XZ3 features a quite bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB. Motorola Edge 40 counts with improved battery life than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has a 4400mAh battery size.
The Motorola Edge 40 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a much more MP back camera, a way larger back camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality and a much larger camera aperture.
