Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ3 is a bit better than the Motorola Moto G8 Plus, having a score of 79.6 against 77.6. Even though the Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device than the Motorola Moto G8 Plus, we must note that it's also older, a bit thicker and just a little bit heavier. The Xperia XZ3 counts with a much better screen than Motorola Moto G8 Plus, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2880 resolution and a greater amount of pixels per inch of display.
The Moto G8 Plus's storage capacity to store more games and applications is just as good as the Sony Xperia XZ3 one, both have equal 64 GB internal storage and a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a little faster processor than Moto G8 Plus. Both of them have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 4 GB RAM memory.
Motorola Moto G8 Plus shoots much clearer videos and photos than Sony Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rate, the Motorola Moto G8 Plus also has a larger diafragm aperture for better photos in low-light environments, a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels and a bigger back camera sensor capturing better quality pictures.
