Comparison review
Xperia XZ3 is just a bit better than Moto Z3 Play, getting a 79.6 score against 76.3. Although Xperia XZ3 is a better phone than Moto Z3 Play, we must highlight that it is also a a lot thicker and somewhat heavier phone. Xperia XZ3 has a brighter display than Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Xperia XZ3 also has a better 1440 x 2880px resolution and more pixels per inch of display.
Motorola Moto Z3 Play counts with much more storage to store more games and applications than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Motorola Moto Z3 Play also has a SD memory slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. The Xperia XZ3 counts with just a little better processing power than Motorola Moto Z3 Play. Both of them have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM memory amount.
Sony Xperia XZ3 has a bit better battery lifetime than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because it has a 3330mAh battery size. The Xperia XZ3 takes a bit better videos and photos than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for taking photographs or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Xperia XZ3 also counts with a back facing camera with a way higher resolution and a larger back camera sensor taking higher quality videos and pictures.
Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola Moto Z3 Play. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
