Galaxy A40 is a bit better than Xperia XZ3, getting a general score of 79.6 against 79.6. Even though the Galaxy A40 and Xperia XZ3 were released only a couple months apart, the Galaxy A40 is noticeably thinner and lighter. Both of these phones include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy A40 has an older 11 version while Xperia XZ3 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a better looking display than Galaxy A40, because it has a better resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels, a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen and a bit bigger screen. The Samsung Galaxy A40 and Xperia XZ3 both count with very similar storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, both have a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 512 GB and the same internal memory capacity.
