Xperia XZ3 has a general score of 79.6, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Alpha's 76.3 score. Xperia XZ3 is a much heavier and extremely thicker phone than Galaxy Alpha. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia XZ3 has 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4 version, giving a lot of extra features and performance tweaks.
The Xperia XZ3 features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a way greater screen pixels density, a bigger display and a way better resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels. Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a way bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB and 64 GB internal storage capacity.
Xperia XZ3 counts with just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with more cpu cores and a larger amount of RAM memory. The Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a superior camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has a bigger aperture and a camera with a much higher resolution.
Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Alpha. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy Alpha, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
