Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ3 is slightly better than Galaxy S5 Plus, having a general score of 79.6 against 78.1. The Sony Xperia XZ3 is a much newer cellphone than Galaxy S5 Plus, although it is somewhat thicker and extremely heavier. Both of these devices come with Android OS, but Sony Xperia XZ3 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2 version, so it gives you a couple nice extra features and increased performance.
The Xperia XZ3 has a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM. The Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a larger screen, a bit higher pixel density and a lot better 1440 x 2880 resolution.
Xperia XZ3 counts with a bit better camera than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Xperia XZ3 also has a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, a back camera with more MP and a larger diafragm aperture for better photography and videos in poorly lited situations.
Xperia XZ3 has a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 48 GB more internal storage and a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. Sony Xperia XZ3 features greater battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 3330mAh of battery capacity against 2800mAh.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S5 Plus. If you want to save some money, you can buy Galaxy S5 Plus, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
