Comparison review

Xperia 1 is a little bit better than the Xperia XZ3, getting a global score of 82.6 against 79.6. Xperia 1 is a thinner and just a little lighter phone than Xperia XZ3, even though both of them were only released 7 months apart. Xperia 1 has a bit more vivid screen than Sony Xperia XZ3, because although it has way less brightness, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of screen, a higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 and a little larger screen.

Xperia 1 counts with a bit faster CPU than Sony Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 also has a greater amount of RAM. Xperia XZ3 captures just a bit better photos and videos than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia XZ3 also counts with higher video frame rates, a much more megapixels back facing camera and a larger sensor shooting better quality videos and photographs.

The Xperia 1 has much more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 512 GB, the Xperia 1 also has 64 GB more internal storage. The Sony Xperia 1's battery life is just as good as Xperia XZ3's battery duration.

The Xperia 1 costs a bit more than the Xperia XZ3, but you can get a better phone for that extra dollars.
