Comparison review
Xperia XZ3 has an overall score of 79.6, which is just a bit better than the Xperia XZ2 Compact's 79 general score. Although Xperia XZ3 and Xperia XZ2 Compact were released with only 7 months difference, Xperia XZ3's design is heavier but also thinner. These devices work with Android OS (operating system), but Xperia XZ3 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Xperia XZ2 Compact has Android 8.0 Oreo, giving some additional features and enhanced performance.
Sony Xperia XZ3 features a bit more vivid display than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because although it has much lower brightness, it also counts with a little bit higher pixel density, a bigger display and a higher 1440 x 2880px resolution. The Xperia XZ3 and the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact feature similar processing units, both of them have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM memory.
Xperia XZ3 features a bit bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Xperia XZ3 also has a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Xperia XZ2 Compact has a little bit better camera than Sony Xperia XZ3, and although they both have a camera in the back with a 19 megapixels resolution, a 0.43 inches back-facing camera sensor, the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same aperture, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also has faster 60 fps video frame rates.
The Xperia XZ3 has a bit better battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 16% greater battery capacity.
