Comparison review

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ3's 79.6 global score. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has an older 5.1 version while Sony Xperia XZ3 has Android 9.0 Pie. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium construction is a little lighter and thinner than the Sony Xperia XZ3, even though it was released 3 years before.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, and they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also counts with a higher amount of RAM. The Xperia Z5 Premium has a better looking screen than Xperia XZ3, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher screen density and a way higher resolution of 3840 x 2160px.

The Xperia XZ3 features a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 32 GB more internal storage and a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features just a bit longer battery performance than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity instead of 3330mAh.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium shoots clearer photos and videos than Sony Xperia XZ3, and although they both have a same size camera sensor, the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a back facing camera with more mega-pixels and a larger aperture for better low light photography and videos.

Even being the best phone in our current comparison, Xperia Z5 Premium is also by far the cheapest one, which makes it an easy decision.
