Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ3 has a score of 79.6, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's overall score of 77.5. Sony Xperia XZ3's body is newer and a little bit lighter, but also way thicker than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. The Xperia XZ3 features a more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1440 x 2880px and a lot higher pixels count per inch in the screen.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a little bit better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia XZ3, because although it has an external SD slot that holds up to 128 GB against 512 GB, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. They have a 4 GB RAM and the same number of cores.
The Xperia XZ3 counts with a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Xperia XZ3 also has a back facing camera with a much higher resolution, a much bigger back-facing camera sensor which gives a way better image and video quality and a larger aperture to capture better low-light images.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a very superior battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has a 59 percent larger battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi Max 2. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xperia XZ3, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, resigning a couple specifications.
