Comparison review
The Xperia XZ3 has a general score of 79.6, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro's 75.8 score. Both devices we are comparing work with Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia XZ3 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo, giving lots of additional features. Despite being the best phone we compare here, we must note that it is also somewhat thicker and a bit heavier.
Sony Xperia XZ3 has a sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has a greater screen pixel density and a better 1440 x 2880 resolution. Sony Xperia XZ3 features a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has 2 GB less RAM memory, they both have 8 CPU cores.
The Xperia XZ3 features a better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a larger camera aperture, a camera with a way better resolution and a lot better 3840x2160 video definition. Sony Xperia XZ3 features a bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ3, because it has a 20 percent larger battery size.
