Comparison review
The Xperia XZ3 has a global score of 79.6, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's overall score of 76.6. Although Xperia XZ3 is older and somewhat thicker than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, it's construction is still a bit lighter. These phones use Android OS, but the Xperia XZ3 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10 version, providing the user some additional features.
The Xperia XZ3 has a sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution and a greater amount of pixels per display inch. The Xperia XZ3 has a quite bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Xperia XZ3 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 512 GB.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 features just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has 1 GB more RAM memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a really longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has a 51 percent larger battery capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a slightly better camera than Sony Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a camera with way more MP, a bigger aperture to take better photography and videos in low light environments and a larger camera sensor taking higher quality videos and photographs.
Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Xperia XZ3, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, resigning a couple specifications.
