The Apple iPhone 8 is much better than the Xperia XZs, with an 85 score against 77.2. The Apple iPhone 8 is a just a little lighter and a little thinner cellphone than the Xperia XZs, even when both were released only a couple of months apart. Apple iPhone 8 has a superior processor than Xperia XZs, because although it has lesser RAM, it also counts with a 64 bits processing unit and a larger number of cores (and they are faster).
IPhone 8 has a bit better looking screen than Sony Xperia XZs, although it has a little smaller screen, a much lower resolution of 750 x 1334px and a little less pixels per display inch. Xperia XZs shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Apple iPhone 8, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Xperia XZs also counts with a way better 19 MP resolution back facing camera, a way bigger camera sensor which gives a much higher image and video quality and better 960 frames per second video frame rate.
IPhone 8 has a much greater memory for apps and games than Xperia XZs, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. The Xperia XZs has a much better battery lifetime than iPhone 8, because it has a 59% more battery size.
The Apple iPhone 8 costs more than Xperia XZs, but you can get a better phone for that extra dollars.
