The Galaxy S6 Edge has a general score of 81.8, which is much better than the Xperia Z1's global score of 71.5. Galaxy S6 Edge is a newer phone, and it is also somewhat thinner and much lighter than Xperia Z1. These devices work with Android operating system, but Galaxy S6 Edge has a more recent 5.0 version and Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.2, so it gives you some extra features and performance improvements.

The Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit more powerful CPU than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has a 64 bits processor, more RAM memory, 4 more processing cores and a better 650 megahertz graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge counts with just a bit better looking display than Xperia Z1, because it has a better 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, a better number of pixels per inch of screen and a little bit bigger screen.
