Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's construction is newer, noticeably lighter and somewhat thinner than the Sony Xperia Z1. Both phones we are comparing have Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has newer 5.0 version while Sony Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.2, so it gives you some additional features.
