Comparison review
Huawei P20 is just a bit better than the Xperia Z1, getting a 78.1 score against 72.8. Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but the Huawei P20 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.4, providing you a lot of extra features and performance improvements. The Huawei P20 body is newer and somewhat thinner than Xperia Z1's, but it's a little bit heavier.
The Huawei P20 has a bit superior processing unit than Xperia Z1, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher number of faster cores and a higher amount of RAM. Xperia Z1 has a more vivid display than Huawei P20, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher screen pixel density.
The Huawei P20 counts with a very superior memory to install applications and games than Sony Xperia Z1, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Huawei P20 has a bit superior battery duration than Xperia Z1, because it has a 13 percent bigger battery capacity.
Huawei P20 captures better pictures and videos than Xperia Z1, because although it has a much lower resolution back-facing camera, and they both have a 0.43 inches sensor, the Huawei P20 also counts with a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a larger aperture.
The Huawei P20 is a little more expensive than Sony Xperia Z1, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a better phone for that extra money.
