Moto Z2 Play is a bit better than Xperia Z1, having a global score of 77.4 against 72.8. The Moto Z2 Play body is noticeably newer, lighter and much thinner than Xperia Z1. Xperia Z1 and Moto Z2 Play feature similar processors, because although the Moto Z2 Play has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM memory and a greater number of cores.
The Xperia Z1 features a more vivid display than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Xperia Z1 also counts with a just a little higher quantity of pixels per screen inch. Motorola Moto Z2 Play has a much better storage to store more games and applications than Xperia Z1, because it has 64 GB internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 1,95 TB.
Moto Z2 Play captures clearer photographs and videos than Xperia Z1, because although it has a camera with much less megapixels, it also counts with a larger camera aperture to take better low light captures and videos and a way higher (4K) video quality. The Motorola Moto Z2 Play has a battery life that is just as good as the Xperia Z1 one.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Play not only is the best phones of the ones we compare here, but it's also by far the cheapest.
