Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has an overall score of 81.7, which is better than the Xperia Z1's score of 72.8. Both phones in this review include Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a more recent 5.0 version while Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.4. Even though Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is just a little bit heavier than Xperia Z1, it's just a little bit thinner and also newer.

Galaxy Note Edge features a bit better processing power than Xperia Z1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note Edge also has a greater amount of RAM and a faster GPU. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a bit sharper screen than Xperia Z1, because it has a little bigger screen, a higher 2560 x 1440px resolution and a little bit higher count of pixels in each inch of screen.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge takes much better videos and photos than Sony Xperia Z1, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for shooting photos and video in poorly lited situations, a smaller back camera sensor which gives a worse image and video quality and a back camera with a much worse 16 megapixels resolution, it also counts with a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.

Galaxy Note Edge has just a bit bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z1, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Note Edge also has an external memory slot that admits up to 128 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge's battery lifetime is very similar to Sony Xperia Z1's battery duration.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a lot more expensive than the Sony Xperia Z1, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
