Comparison review

Galaxy S6 edge+ is slightly better than the Xperia Z1, with a overall score of 79.3 against 72.8. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S6 edge+ has 5.1 version while Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.4, offering lots of additional features and a performance increase. Galaxy S6 edge+ is a newer phone, and it is also notably thinner and a little lighter than Xperia Z1.

Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with a little bit better looking display than Xperia Z1, because it has a quite larger screen, a just a bit higher display density and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440. The Xperia Z1 has a bit faster processor than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with more cores and an additional graphics processor.

Galaxy S6 edge+ takes much better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia Z1, because although it has a back-facing camera with a lot worse resolution and a smaller camera sensor, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light images and video and a lot higher video quality.

Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with slightly more storage capacity for applications and games than Sony Xperia Z1, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. Galaxy S6 edge+ features a battery performance that is just as good as the Sony Xperia Z1 one.

Although Galaxy S6 edge+ is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia Z1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia Z1. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy S6 edge+, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xperia Z1, resigning a couple features and specs.
