Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 has an overall score of 78.3, which is slightly better than the Xperia Z1's 72.8 global score. Xperia XZ1's construction is much newer, just a bit lighter and thinner than the Xperia Z1. The Xperia XZ1 features a bit faster CPU than Xperia Z1, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with more processing cores and more RAM.
Xperia Z1 counts with a much better looking screen than Sony Xperia XZ1, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1920 x 1080px, the Xperia Z1 also counts with a just a little greater display pixels density. The Xperia XZ1 takes much better videos and photos than Xperia Z1, because although it has a worse resolution camera in the back, and they both have a same size camera aperture and a 0.43 inches sensor, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a lot higher (4K) video quality.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 has a superior storage for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal memory capacity. The Sony Xperia Z1 features just a little better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ1, because it has an 11% greater battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xperia Z1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia Z1. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Xperia Z1, letting go a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
