Comparison review
Galaxy A8 Star is better than the Xperia Z2, with an 82.1 score against 72.9. These devices come with Android OS, but the Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xperia Z2 has Android 4.4.4, providing you a couple additional features and performance optimizations. The Galaxy A8 Star construction is newer and a little bit thinner than Xperia Z2's, although it's heavier.
The Sony Xperia Z2 features a much better looking display than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a little smaller display, it also counts with a bit better pixel number per display inch. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star and Sony Xperia Z2 have incredibly similar processors, because although the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a larger number of cores (but slower) and more RAM.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Star captures much clearer photographs and videos than Sony Xperia Z2, because although it has a tinier camera sensor offering a lower image quality, a lower video quality and a lot worse resolution back camera, it also counts with a larger aperture for better low light photography and video.
