Comparison review
The Xperia XZ3 is slightly better than Sony Xperia Z2, getting a 79.6 score against 72.9. These phones work with Android OS, but the Xperia XZ3 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Sony Xperia Z2 has Android 4.4.4, so it provides you some nice extra features and optimized performance. Although Xperia XZ3 is noticeably newer than Sony Xperia Z2, it is somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker.
Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a little better hardware performance than Xperia Z2, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM and more cores. The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a little sharper screen than Xperia Z2, because it has a way higher resolution of 1440 x 2880, a larger screen and a better count of pixels per screen inch.
The Xperia XZ3 takes better pictures and videos than Xperia Z2, although it has a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a worse 19 megapixels resolution camera, they both have the same aperture and the same back-facing camera sensor size. The Xperia XZ3 has much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Xperia Z2, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 512 GB.
Xperia XZ3 has just a bit longer battery life than Xperia Z2, because it has a 3330mAh battery size.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xperia Z2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z2. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Xperia Z2, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
