Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone has a score of 77.1, which is just a bit better than Xperia Z2a's global score of 73. The Asus ROG Phone construction is noticeably thinner but heavier than the Xperia Z2a. Asus ROG Phone has a little better processing power than Sony Xperia Z2a, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and they are faster) and a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Xperia Z2a counts with a bit more vivid screen than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has a bit lower 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit better amount of pixels in each inch in the screen. The Asus ROG Phone has a superior storage capacity for apps and games than Xperia Z2a, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory.
Asus ROG Phone counts with greater battery performance than Sony Xperia Z2a, because it has a 4000mAh battery size. Xperia Z2a shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has worse video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xperia Z2a also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor.
Although Asus ROG Phone is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xperia Z2a, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xperia Z2a. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Xperia Z2a, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your money.
