Sony Xperia Z2a Review

Sony Xperia Z2a is a totally fascinating Android phone, having a very fast Quad-Core processing unit running at 2.3 GHz, a quite big 5 inches multi touch display, and 2 cameras, a 20.7 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera.

Sony decided to design this phone using a very powerful Quad-Core processor running at 2300 megahertz, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 8974-AB system chip with a great 3 GB RAM memory. Graphic rendering often uses lots of processing time, so it has an additional Adreno 330 graphic processing unit ticking at 450 MHz to help with that calculations. A nice point of this cellphone is the 16 GB quite large internal storage and an SD extension slot, enough to install hundreds of applications without any trouble.

Sony appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 5.75 oz cellphone. Although this phone is just 5.39" long, it is still able to fit a a 5" screen. Although the Sony Xperia Z2a is quite thin it's not as thin as many other devices currently available, with a thickness of 0.43 inches. Sony is offering this phone in 3 colors: black, blue and white.

This phone has two cameras, a 20.7 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. The Sony Xperia Z2a can also capture 4K 3840x2160 videos at 30 frames per second, and HD 1280x720 slow motion videos up to 120 frames per second (4 times slower than normal videos). The camera also includes a high number of useful features like flash, auto-focus, digital image stabilization, fast burst mode, smile detection shooting, face detection shooting, geo tagging and HDR mode.

The Sony Xperia Z2a has an absolutely amazing 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) 5" screen, which makes everything look amazing. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

The Sony Xperia Z2a has an incredible 3000 mAh Li-Ion non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the Sony Xperia Z2a with an amazing battery duration. According to Sony, this cellphone has an aproximate stand by time of 690 hs and a talk time of 15 hours. An issue to take into consideration is that this phone's battery is non-removable so you can't change it when it begins losing capacity, even though with its 3000 mAh you will probably buy a new device before it becomes an issue.

This cellphone includes wifi connectivity (which it can provide to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G high speed connection type and also HSPA+ data connection, that is a slower 4G variation and fast 3G connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. The Sony Xperia Z2a uses a Micro SIM card for GSM networks.

The Sony Xperia Z2a also comes with a handful of useful features such as NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Navigation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

This phone costs around 249 dollars, which is a rather high price for comparing with similar phones. This cellphone is probably a great option for you no matter whether you want this phone for work, are a photography fan, will use it as a social device or will use it as a gaming phone.
