Huawei Mate 20 is a little bit better than Xperia Z2a, getting a 79.5 score against 73. These devices include Android OS, but Huawei Mate 20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xperia Z2a has Android 4.4.2 version. Huawei Mate 20 is a somewhat heavier but thinner device than Xperia Z2a. Huawei Mate 20 has a bit better processing power than Xperia Z2a, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with more RAM and a greater number of faster cores.
The Xperia Z2a counts with a little bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a much smaller screen and a bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch in the display. Huawei Mate 20 counts with a little bit better camera than Xperia Z2a, although it has a lower 3840x2160 video resolution and a way lower 12 MP resolution camera, they both have a 0.43 inches back-facing camera sensor.
The Huawei Mate 20 features a lot bigger storage to install games and applications than Xperia Z2a, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage. Huawei Mate 20 counts with improved battery performance than Xperia Z2a, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Sony Xperia Z2a, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Sony Xperia Z2a. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 20, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Sony Xperia Z2a, giving up some features and specs.
