Huawei Mate 40 Pro is much better than Xperia Z2a, getting a 90.9 score against 73. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro body is way heavier but somewhat thinner than the Xperia Z2a. Both devices in this review work with Android OS, but Huawei Mate 40 Pro has the older 10 version and Xperia Z2a has Android 4.4.2 version.
The Xperia Z2a features a little more vivid display than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, although it has a much lower 1920 x 1080 resolution, a little bit worse screen pixel density and a way smaller screen. Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia Z2a, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a bit more powerful processor than Xperia Z2a, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores and more RAM memory. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro takes much better videos and photos than Xperia Z2a, and although they both have the same video definition, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has higher 60 frames per second video frame rate, a lot higher resolution back facing camera and a way larger sensor which provides a lot higher image and video quality.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a way better battery life than Sony Xperia Z2a, because it has a 47% bigger battery capacity.
