Moto Z3 Play is slightly better than Xperia Z2a, getting a general score of 76.3 against 73. Moto Z3 Play is a just a bit lighter and noticeably thinner phone than Xperia Z2a. Sony Xperia Z2a features a bit better processing power than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has lesser cpu cores and 1 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics processor.
The Sony Xperia Z2a counts with a brighter display than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a quite lower 1920 x 1080 resolution, it also counts with a just a little greater amount of pixels per inch in the display. Moto Z3 Play captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Xperia Z2a, although it has a camera in the back with lot less mega pixels, a tinier sensor taking less light and duller colors and a lower (4K) video definition.
The Moto Z3 Play counts with a superior storage capacity to install applications and games than Xperia Z2a, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity and a SD memory slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. Moto Z3 Play and Sony Xperia Z2a both have similar batteries duration.
Although Moto Z3 Play is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xperia Z2a, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia Z2a. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Xperia Z2a, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
