Comparison review
Galaxy A42 is better than Xperia Z2a, getting an 87 score against 73. Galaxy A42's design is heavier but thinner than the Xperia Z2a. Both phones in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy A42 has an older 11 version while Xperia Z2a has Android 4.4.2 version. The Xperia Z2a has a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a much better display pixel density.
The Sony Xperia Z2a has just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy A42, because although it has a lower number of cores and lesser RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Galaxy A42 counts with a superior memory for games and applications than Xperia Z2a, because it has more internal memory capacity and a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1000 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a superior battery performance than Xperia Z2a, because it has a 67% larger battery capacity. Samsung Galaxy A42 features a way better camera than Xperia Z2a, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a back camera with lot more mega-pixels.
