Comparison review
Xperia Z5 has a score of 77.6, which is slightly better than Sony Xperia Z2a's 73 score. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but Xperia Z5 has newer 5.1 version while Sony Xperia Z2a has Android 4.4.2 version, providing the user a lot of extra features and performance improvements. Xperia Z5 is a a little bit lighter and thinner phone than Sony Xperia Z2a.
The Sony Xperia Z2a and the Xperia Z5 feature incredibly similar screens, because although the Xperia Z5 has a little worse quantity of pixels per inch of display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a quite bigger display. Xperia Z5 has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia Z2a, because it has a SD extension slot that allows up to 200 GB and 32 GB internal memory.
Xperia Z5 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Sony Xperia Z2a, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and a 450 megahertz graphics co-processor, the Xperia Z5 also has 4 more CPU cores. Sony Xperia Z2a counts with a little better battery duration than Xperia Z5, because it has a 3000mAh battery size against 2900mAh.
The Xperia Z5 shoots much clearer videos and photos than Xperia Z2a, and although they both have a 0.43 inches back-facing camera sensor, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia Z5 also has a back camera with more MP.
Although Sony Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia Z2a, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z2a. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Xperia Z2a, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
