Comparison review

HTC One M9 is just a bit better than Xperia Z3, with a 77.7 score against 75.8. Both phones in this review work with Android OS, but the HTC One M9 has a more recent 5.0 version and Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4, providing the user some extra features. The HTC One M9 is better than the Xperia Z3, we must highlight that it is also a noticeably thicker and just a little heavier cellphone.

The Xperia Z3 features a bit sharper display than HTC One M9, because although it has a just a little worse count of pixels per inch in the display, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Xperia Z3 also counts with a bit bigger display. HTC One M9 counts with a superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Xperia Z3, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 128 GB, the HTC One M9 also has 16 GB more internal memory capacity.

HTC One M9 has just a bit better performance than Xperia Z3, and although they both have a 3 GB RAM, the HTC One M9 also has a 64 bits CPU, a much better GPU running at 600 megahertz and 4 more cpu cores. The Xperia Z3 features just a bit longer battery life than HTC One M9, because it has 3100mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.

Xperia Z3 shoots a little bit better photos and videos than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Xperia Z3 also has a back camera with more MP, a bigger sensor taking higher quality videos and photographs and a bigger diafragm aperture to take better captures in low light situations.

The HTC One M9 is a bit more expensive than Sony Xperia Z3, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
