Google Nexus 6P is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia Z3, with a general score of 80.3 against 77.3. Google Nexus 6P's body is newer and somewhat thinner, but also a little bit heavier than the Sony Xperia Z3. The Sony Xperia Z3 has a brighter screen than Google Nexus 6P, although it has a bit smaller screen, a way worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little worse number of pixels per inch in the screen.
Xperia Z3 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Google Nexus 6P, because although it has 4 lesser cpu cores , and they both have 3 GB of RAM memory, the Xperia Z3 also counts with a graphics processing unit. The Google Nexus 6P features a superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia Z3, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Google Nexus 6P has just a little bit longer battery performance than Xperia Z3, because it has an 8% greater battery capacity. The Sony Xperia Z3 shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Google Nexus 6P, and although they both have the same video frame rates, a same size back camera sensor, the same aperture and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Sony Xperia Z3 also has a much more MP back-facing camera.
Although Google Nexus 6P is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xperia Z3. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Xperia Z3, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
