The Motorola Edge 50 has an overall score of 81.2, which is a bit better than the Xperia Z3's 77.3 general score. Even though Motorola Edge 50 is a bit heavier than Xperia Z3, it's thinner and also notably newer. These devices include Android operating system, but the Motorola Edge 50 has an older 14 version while Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4 version.

The Xperia Z3 features just a bit better screen than Motorola Edge 50, although it has a bit inferior number of pixels per inch in the screen, a way worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, much lower brightness and a really smaller display. Sony Xperia Z3 has an extremely better CPU than Motorola Edge 50, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor.

Motorola Edge 50 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z3, because it has a 56% larger battery size.
