Comparison review

Galaxy S6 edge+ is just a bit better than Xperia Z4v, getting a general score of 79.3 against 78.8. These phones use the same Android 5.1 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding OS features. Although the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Xperia Z4v were released only a couple of months apart, the Galaxy S6 edge+ is just a little bit lighter and notably thinner.

Sony Xperia Z4v counts with a better performance than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with a graphics processor and a larger number of cores. Sony Xperia Z4v counts with a bit better screen than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 2560 x 1440, the Sony Xperia Z4v also counts with a quite higher pixel quantity per inch in the screen.

The Xperia Z4v counts with slightly more memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB. The Galaxy S6 edge+'s battery duration is just as good as Sony Xperia Z4v's battery performance.

The Xperia Z4v counts with a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for capturing pictures or videos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Xperia Z4v also counts with a lot better resolution back facing camera and a larger back camera sensor providing a better image quality.

Although Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xperia Z4v, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z4v. If you want to save some money, you can get the Xperia Z4v, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
