Comparison review
The OnePlus 8 has an overall score of 76, which is just a bit better than the Xperia Z5 Compact's 75.1 score. Although OnePlus 8 is a lot heavier than Xperia Z5 Compact, it's thinner and newer. OnePlus 8 has a little more vivid display than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a way larger screen, a higher screen pixel density and a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The OnePlus 8 counts with a bit better CPU than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, and they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 8 also counts with 6 GB more RAM memory. OnePlus 8 has a superior camera than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a same size aperture, the OnePlus 8 also has faster 60 fps video frame rates, a camera in the back with way more megapixels and a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
OnePlus 8 has a quite bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia Z5 Compact, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory capacity. OnePlus 8 counts with a much better battery lifetime than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a 4300mAh battery size instead of 2700mAh.
In addition to being the best phone in our comparison, OnePlus 8 is also a bargain compared to the other devices.
