Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ3 is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, getting a 79.6 score against 75.1. The Sony Xperia XZ3 construction is noticeably newer than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact's, although it's somewhat thicker and much heavier. Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but Sony Xperia XZ3 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Sony Xperia Z5 Compact has Android 5.1 version, so it counts with a lot of extra features and some performance improvements.
Xperia XZ3 features a bit more vivid display than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has much more pixels per inch in the screen, a much better 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution and a much bigger screen. Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a much greater storage to install applications and games than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has 64 GB internal memory and an external memory slot that allows up to 512 GB.
Xperia XZ3 features a little better hardware performance than Xperia Z5 Compact, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia XZ3 also counts with a greater amount of RAM. Xperia Z5 Compact captures just a bit better photos and videos than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, a 0.43 inches sensor and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia Z5 Compact also has a back facing camera with more mega pixels and a bigger camera aperture to take better images and video in low-light environments.
Xperia XZ3 has superior battery duration than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a 3330mAh battery capacity against 2700mAh.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Sony Xperia Z5 Compact. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia XZ3, else you can save some money and buy the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, giving up some features and specs.
