Apple iPhone 7 Plus is a little bit better than Xperia Z5 Premium, having an 83.8 score against 79.8. Even though the Apple iPhone 7 Plus is a little bit heavier than Xperia Z5 Premium, it's a bit thinner and also newer. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a way better display than Apple iPhone 7 Plus, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a way better 3840 x 2160 resolution and a much greater screen pixel density.
The Apple iPhone 7 Plus features a much greater storage for apps and games than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a little faster CPU than iPhone 7 Plus, and although they both have a 3 GB RAM, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has more CPU cores and a graphics processing unit.
The Xperia Z5 Premium features a slightly better camera than iPhone 7 Plus, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same aperture, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a back facing camera with a much higher 23 mega-pixels resolution and a way bigger sensor.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has longer battery lifetime than iPhone 7 Plus, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity against 2900mAh.
Although iPhone 7 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xperia Z5 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z5 Premium. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy iPhone 7 Plus, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Xperia Z5 Premium, giving up a couple features and specifications.
