Comparison review
The iPhone 8 is just a bit better than the Xperia Z5 Premium, with a score of 85 against 79.8. IPhone 8's design is newer, a bit thinner and lighter than Xperia Z5 Premium. Apple iPhone 8 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, a smaller amount of RAM memory and an inferior number of cores , it also counts with a 64 bits processing unit.
Xperia Z5 Premium features a much sharper display than iPhone 8, because it has a much better pixels density, a lot better resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a bigger display. Apple iPhone 8 has a much better storage for games and applications than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 224 GB more internal storage.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a much better battery performance than iPhone 8, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity instead of 1821mAh. The Xperia Z5 Premium takes a bit better photos and videos than iPhone 8, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a F1.8 aperture, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a lot more mega pixels back-facing camera and a way larger sensor which offers a lot higher image and video quality.
Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xperia Z5 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia Z5 Premium. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy iPhone 8, else you can save some dollars and buy the Xperia Z5 Premium, resigning some specs and features.
