Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a bit better than the Motorola Droid Turbo, getting a 79.8 score against 76.4. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium construction is newer and incredibly thinner, but also a little heavier than Motorola Droid Turbo. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a newer 5.1 version while Motorola Droid Turbo has Android 4.4.4, offering some nice extra features and optimized performance.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a little sharper screen than Motorola Droid Turbo, because it has a bit bigger display, a better pixels amount per inch in the display and a lot higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Motorola Droid Turbo, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 200 GB.

Motorola Droid Turbo counts with a bit more powerful processor than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has an inferior number of cores , and they both have a 3 GB RAM, the Motorola Droid Turbo also counts with a faster 500 MHz graphics co-processor. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium shoots clearer photos and videos than Motorola Droid Turbo, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a bigger aperture to capture better low light captures and video, faster 30 fps video frame rates and a more mega-pixels back-facing camera.

Motorola Droid Turbo features a bit superior battery performance than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a 14% more battery capacity.

Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Motorola Droid Turbo, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Motorola Droid Turbo. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia Z5 Premium, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Motorola Droid Turbo, letting go some specifications.
