Both devices in this comparison use Android OS (operating system), but Xperia Z5 Premium has 5.1 version and Moto G Stylus has Android 11.

Xperia Z5 Premium features a little better performance than Moto G Stylus, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a graphics processor. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much better screen than Motorola Moto G Stylus, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher quantity of pixels per inch of display and a lot higher 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution.

The Moto G Stylus shoots a bit better photos and videos than Xperia Z5 Premium, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Moto G Stylus also has a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better captures in poorly lited situations, a bigger back-facing camera sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality and a back-facing camera with a lot better 48 mega pixels resolution.

Moto G Stylus counts with a lot bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has more internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 512 GB. The Motorola Moto G Stylus counts with a little longer battery performance than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto G Stylus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto G Stylus. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Moto G Stylus, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
