Comparison review
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a general score of 79.8, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 5s's 76.4 score. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has the older 5.1 version and Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is an older and somewhat heavier cellphone than Xiaomi Mi 5s, but Sony managed to make it a bit thinner anyway.
The Xperia Z5 Premium has a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a higher number of cores (but slower) and an additional graphics processing unit. The Xperia Z5 Premium has a much better screen than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a quite larger display, a much greater display density and a way better resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s features a bigger memory for applications and games than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features just a bit longer battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity instead of 3200mAh.
Xperia Z5 Premium captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a same size back-facing camera sensor and the same video frame rate, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a way higher 23 mega pixels resolution camera in the back and a larger aperture to take better low-light photography and video.
Although Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi 5s. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Xiaomi Mi 5s, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
