Comparison review

Sony Xperia Z5 has an overall score of 77.6, which is slightly better than OnePlus 8's 76 overall score. The Sony Xperia Z5 design is somewhat lighter and just a little bit thinner than OnePlus 8, although it was released 5 years before. The OnePlus 8 has a bit superior CPU than Xperia Z5, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 8 also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory.

Xperia Z5 has a bit better looking screen than OnePlus 8, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a way smaller display, it also counts with a just a little greater number of pixels in each display inch. The OnePlus 8 features a quite bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z5, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory.

OnePlus 8 features a much better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has a 4300mAh battery size. The OnePlus 8 takes much better photographs and videos than Xperia Z5, and although they both have the same aperture and the same (4K) video quality, the OnePlus 8 also has higher 60 frames per second video frame rate, a way better resolution back-facing camera and a larger back camera sensor which offers a higher image and video quality.

Although Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs more than the OnePlus 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the OnePlus 8. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia Z5, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the OnePlus 8, letting go some specs and features.
