Samsung Galaxy S III is a little bit better than the Xperia ZR, having a 70.8 score against 65.6. Both of these phones work with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy S III has older 4.1.2 version while Xperia ZR has Android 4.4.4. The Samsung Galaxy S III design is somewhat thinner and just a little bit lighter than Xperia ZR, despite of the fact that it was released just 11 months before.
The Xperia ZR has just a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S III, and although they both have a 400 megahertz GPU and a 2 GB RAM, the Xperia ZR also has more cores. Sony Xperia ZR has a slightly better looking display than Galaxy S III, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have the same 1280 x 720 resolution, the Sony Xperia ZR also counts with a just a bit better number of pixels per inch in the display.
Samsung Galaxy S III has a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia ZR, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 64 GB and more internal storage. The Sony Xperia ZR features a little longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has 2300mAh of battery capacity against 2100mAh.
Samsung Galaxy S III takes much clearer photos and videos than Xperia ZR, although it has a worse (Full HD) video definition and a lot less mega pixels back facing camera.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we are comparing here, Samsung Galaxy S III is also by far the cheapest.
