The Motorola Edge 50 has a global score of 81.2, which is just a bit better than TCL 20 Pro 5G's 76.1 overall score. The Motorola Edge 50 is a much newer phone, and it is also somewhat thinner and a little lighter than the TCL 20 Pro 5G. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Motorola Edge 50 has a newer 14 version while TCL 20 Pro 5G has Android 11 version, offering some nice extra features.
Motorola Edge 50 has a brighter display than TCL 20 Pro 5G, and although they both have a same size screen, the Motorola Edge 50 also has a quite better 1220 x 2712 resolution and a quite better amount of pixels in each inch in the display. The TCL 20 Pro 5G counts with a much more powerful CPU than Motorola Edge 50, although it has less RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
Motorola Edge 50 features just a bit better camera than TCL 20 Pro 5G, and although they both have a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the same video definition and the same video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 50 also has a lot larger back-facing camera sensor taking much higher quality videos and pictures and a higher 50 megapixels resolution camera.
The TCL 20 Pro 5G has a much bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Edge 50, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the TCL 20 Pro 5G also has an external memory card slot that supports up to 1 TB. Motorola Edge 50 features just a little better battery duration than TCL 20 Pro 5G, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
